Tuigimid gur am deacair é seo do thuismitheóirí, do pháistí agus dúinn ar fad. Tuigimid freisin go bhfuil nithe difriúla ag tarlú i ngach clann. Déan an iarracht is fearr gur féidir leat leis an obair atá tugtha tré beagán a dhéanamh gach lá- léigh lena chéile, labhar lena chéile agus déan rudaí spraoiúil lena chéile. Má tá tú in ann níos mó oibre ná sin a dhéanamh sin iontach! Níl aon duine ag súil go mbeidh an lá scoile iomlán agat sa bhaile, ní féidir é sin a dhéanamh. Cabhróidh cuid de na smaointe thíos leat, triáil iad má tá tú in ann. Tóg an t-am seo chun gníomhaíochtaí nach fhaigheann tú am a dhéanamh de gnáth a dhéanamh le do pháiste. 'Sé an ní is tábhachtaí ná an caidrimh atá agat le do pháiste. Is leor do dhícheall a dhéanamh, tá a ndóthain ansin.
Ní mhór do clainn fanacht le chéile agus tá comhairle tugtha dúinn nach rachaidh páistí nach bhfuil sa chlann céanna ag spraoi lena chéile chun stop a chuir leis an galar ag scaipeadh. Foghlaimeoidh do pháiste go leor uait tré am a chaitheamh leat agus forbróidh siad scileanna maithe tríd na gníomhaiochtaí seo freisin. Cabhróidh na scileanna l'oideachas, le meon agus le scileanna sóisialta agus éisteachta do pháiste chomh maith le caidreamh dearfach a chothú.
We understand that this is a strange time for parents, children and all of us. We also understand that circumstances in each household is different. Please engage with the work assigned by doing a little each day- read, talk and do fun things together- the suggestions below might be of use to you. Also routine is reassuring for children and for all of us so if you are able to have a routine it will be helpful. Nobody expects or wants you to have a school day at home. Take this time to do activities that you don't normally get time to do with your child. Your relationship with your child is most important. Do your best, which will always be good enough.
We have been advised that children must not participate in any social activities outside of their own families- so children should not go to other children's houses, play outside with children outside of their families, have play dates or sleep overs with children outside of their families.
Your child will learn so much from spending time with you and this will help your child to develop skills which are necessary in everyday life. These skills in turn will help them in school, will develop positive attitudes, relationships and will help with social skills, listening and participation:
